Engineering notes
A few things we always check — and what code references we follow.
- CMU monuments get vertical and horizontal reinforcing sized for wind overturning plus seismic where applicable.
- Spread footings are sized for soil bearing capacity (default 1,500 psf if no geotech provided).
- Frost depth is set per local code — coordinate with your permit office for confirmed depth.
