Engineering notes
A few things we always check — and what code references we follow.
- Outrigger is sized for the cantilever moment from wind load on the sign face plus dead load.
- Wall attachment uses through-bolts in masonry or backing-plate-to-stud connections with full blocking spec.
- Connections are detailed for the eccentric load — not just shear.
